Evaluation Activity 6
Prior to filming, I have photographed
Louise Jarvis , adjusting the Camera settings
ensuring that everything is in tact and working
to prevent a disastrous filming session , which
we had previously experienced.
She ensured that the tape was correctly inserted ,
and that the tape was rewound to the beginning ,
generally we found working with the camera provided
by the school , fairly easy to use.
The picture to the left
shows Louise Jarvis
Organizing the tripod in
the spot where we was
about to film . A Tripod
was practically essentially
When filming.
Throughout the course of making and editing , our opening sequence, I have used Photoshop on numerous occasions to to convey our ideas visually onto the blog , to the left is a screen shot of a clip of our video pasted onto youtube , where I highlighted a key feature to the clip which was the credits . I find photoshop extremely helpful to express ideas put forward by the group in a visual context.
Once we had filmed all the clips
to our opening sequence , and
Put them together on Imovie ,
when editing , a problem which
we encountered was that we
were unable to find a suitable
instrumental or music background
for our opening sequence.
Being unable to find a suitable
instrumental/song for our opening
sequence was prolonging our
production. We had originally found
a instrumental which we all felt
worked exceptionally well with our
opening sequence however we then
discovered that we had copyright
issues with the song ,which meant
that we could no longer use this song.
This therefore meant that we had to
think out of the box , since we couldn't
find any suitable music off youtube
and any other existing websites to go
with our opening sequence. In the end
I ended up constructing our music from
scratch on a music producing software
called Cubase 5 . At first I found it rather
confusing , however after a while I began
to get the jist of it , and as an end product
produced our final music instrumental , which
we included in our final opening sequence.
We used IMovie to Edit
our clips and to
construct them into our
final video . It was extremely
helpful and easy to use.
We used youtube to upload
our video onto our blog.
An additional reason we
used it was to research
music for a opening
sequence which wasn't
successful.
We used safari and
internet explorer to
research key concepts
of our film genre.
We used a website
called :www.flickr.com
to upload pictures we'd
photographed onto our
blog. Apart from a few
errors flickr was
reasonably easy to use.
